Here's what our physician and nurse practitioner are saying about Brightmoor Hospice!

"I am writing to recommend Brightmoor Hospice and its unduplicable staff.

I have been affiliated with this hospice service for over a year while employed in Fayetteville in a long-term care facility. They have been one of the contracted services in the facility. I have nothing but positive things to say about their services. There is no doubt in my mind that Brightmoor Hospice will be an excellent addition to any facility. The company has always been known to provide staff with a sound character. compassionate, conscientious, disciplined, honest, humble, patient, persistent, resilient, and with a great sense of ambition. Over the course of the year, I have witnessed through the staff a tremendous growth in the number of patients, adaptability, organization, self-management, teamwork, and problem solving. I am certain these cultivated skills will allow Brightmoor to always excel.

Brightmoor Hospice's staff members personify caring and all the characteristics that embody compassion and altruism. The staff strives to learn, impart, and share knowledge to their patients, families, and fellow staff members alike. I have learnt that their staffs focus is to learn all they can, while she can and then use this knowledge to provide optimal care to whomever they encounter. It is a pleasure to recommend this company to anyone facing the daunting end of life phase.

"As a Nurse Practitioner in long term care, there are many occasions that I work with end-of-life care. While we do work with multiple hospice companies in our building, I'm thankful for the relationship that has been built with Brightmoor Hospice.

From the initial contact with Missy, I know that our patients and families receive the best of care. Missy does a wonderful job explaining the process, answering questions, easing the angst of patients' families and communicating information to their clinical staff to ensure a smooth transition of care.

The Brightmoor team is very present and does an excellent job communicating not just to the families but to our team. They are always available, which is key to supporting our team, the families and most importantly the patients.

I know that if you choose Brightmoor you will have the same excellent service and encounters with them that I have experienced over the last few years. "

"I am writing with great enthusiasm to recommend Brightmoor Hospice services. I have many years of experience with this organization as a physician and as well a family member of a terminally ill patient.

As a physician, I have utmost confidence that my patients will receive excellent end of life care delivered with sincere compassion and utmost professionalism. From the moment a referral is made I can trust there will be timely assessment and appropriate treatment rendered. There is excellent communication externally to the physician, family and within the organization's multiple disciplines that are required to care for a patient in the hospice setting.

Personally, I could not be more grateful to Brightmoor for the care my father-in-law received in his final days. Such a comfort the caregivers were to his wife and daughter. Years later they speak so highly of the individuals who cared for him and it is reflective of the culture from those in the field to the administration."

"As a primary care physician in the local community and the hospice medical director ofBrightmoor Hospice for over 17 years, I have had the pleasure of serving patients and families during one of the most difficult health transitions to end of life care. Brightmoor Hospice provides excellent care highlighting compassion and dignity. From the initial referral to admission, our care team is diligent in providing communication, care, and respect. Brightmoor Hospice truly lives and practices their mission statement of “adding life to days, when days can no longer be added to life.”

Recently, I received a call from a family friend about her husband who had end stage cardiac disease and end stage renal failure who had made the decision to discontinue dialysis and pursue comfort care. The patient was already declining rapidly and his demise was imminent. From the time the referral was received to the time an admission nurse was dispatched to the home was less than 30 minutes. Our team had no hesitation at 9:30 in the evening to provide support and comfort to the family. The patient passed peacefully at home two days later and his wife expressed that this experience, although very difficult, the support she received from the Brightmoor team was exceptional."
